MUSIC TO MY EARS : A SPRING PLAYLIST

Have I mentioned yet how much I love spring? Besides dresses and sandals, it marks the beginning of concert season. Flagstaff’s Pepsi Amphitheater – my favorite venue in town – just celebrated its opening weekend with a perfect afternoon and some chill bluegrass music. Before that I was wandering down to Phoenix – where spring starts a little earlier – to catch The XX and Glass Animals on their way to and from Coachella. Meredith and I got to enjoy our hometown band, Planet Sandwich, reintroduce the idea of patio music for the year. I really can’t think of a way I’d rather spend a sunny day than sipping something cold, listening to a live band or a good spring playlist.

A new season always comes hand-in-hand with a new playlist. This time of the year always brings me back to the basics a little. I love acoustic sounds, and simple tunes that get stuck in my head and make me want to get moving.

Totally with you on finding a new season the perfect opportunity to put together a new season. I love how this way of organising our music can also mean certain songs are attached/connected to seasons and memories!!

Yes it’s great! Some songs just require the windows to be down, some sunshine smiling on ya, and there others that are for those days when you don’t have to leave your cozy blankets the entire day! It’s perfect! Hope these ones fit the season for you 🙂

How cool is this!? I haven’t seen a vinyl record in person in so long, my dad had such a huge collection when I was little and would always play them on Sundays, so looking at these records brought back some memories. Thanks for sharing and I hope you have a wonderful rest of the week!
