Have I mentioned yet how much I love spring? Besides dresses and sandals, it marks the beginning of concert season. Flagstaff’s Pepsi Amphitheater – my favorite venue in town – just celebrated its opening weekend with a perfect afternoon and some chill bluegrass music. Before that I was wandering down to Phoenix – where spring starts a little earlier – to catch The XX and Glass Animals on their way to and from Coachella. Meredith and I got to enjoy our hometown band, Planet Sandwich, reintroduce the idea of patio music for the year. I really can’t think of a way I’d rather spend a sunny day than sipping something cold, listening to a live band or a good spring playlist.
A new season always comes hand-in-hand with a new playlist. This time of the year always brings me back to the basics a little. I love acoustic sounds, and simple tunes that get stuck in my head and make me want to get moving.
