Living in a casual town, I found myself taking less care about what I was wearing. The winter, too, did a number on my motivation to dress up. With so many layers over my cute clothes, what did it matter what I was wearing?! Now that Spring is in full bloom here in Flagstaff, I’m striving to pull myself out of the jeans-and-a-tee rut. Blending dressier Spring florals + low-key accessories is a great way to look more feminine without feeling out of place.
I had so much fun on this shoot with my friend and new blogging partner, Kierstan (look for more of her in upcoming posts!). This area of Flagstaff is probably my most favorite. Historic walk-up apartments, funky and eclectic bars and restaurants and pretty doorsteps abound. It’s such a lovely scene of a small, historic town and one of the things I love most about Flagstaff. Almost like something European, but very Western at the same time?!
This dress was such a wonderful find. Just Female is currently my favorite brand, and this wrap dress is too good to be true. I’m not usually crazy about florals, but this floral is a perfect mix of something pretty and unique. The flowers have a loose hand-drawn quality to them and aren’t such a traditional print. It’s perfect for so many occasions. I’ve worn it to a day at the studio, the farmer’s market, beachside cocktails in Cabo, and just lounging around my house! With the flat slides, it really dresses it down for wearing around Flagstaff.
